A program through Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child is one of our favorite churchwide opportunities that allows for anyone and everyone to serve in some way. OCC is an easy way to help share the gospel around the world. It's an inexpensive way to show kids the love of Christ in a tangible way by sending a Christmas gift through Operation Christmas Child.
At Seagrove Baptist Church, we collect items all year long to fill the shoeboxes that will be distributed around the world at Christmastime. Here are a few ways you can get involved:
SEW INTO SPRING
If you can sew, crochet, or knit, you can help make bags for girls ages 10-14.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Each week we will bring specific items for the packing party in November.
SCHOOL SUPPLY SEPTEMBER
Pick up a few extra items for the shoeboxes while school supplies are on sale.
OCC GENERATIONAL SUNDAY IN OCTOBER
We will work together across generations and Sunday School classes to make kits for our boxes.
PACKING PARTY IN NOVEMBER
As a church, we pack the boxes with all the items we've collected throughout the year.
MONETARY DONATIONS
Donate anytime throughout the year with cash, check, or online gifts noted for OCC.
ATLANTA PROCESSING CENTER MISSION TRIP
Participate in sorting boxes and packing them onto trucks for the next step in the process.
PRAYER
Pray for God to use this ministry beyond our dreams!
